Exercises / Rhythms / Pulse foundations
Imitate the rhythm.
Listen to a full example, wait through a count-in, and reproduce the note attacks by tapping.
Listen, then copy the rhythm.
Listen to the example and its count-in, then tap the silent response bar. In 6/8, count two dotted-quarter pulses; in 5/4, count five quarter beats grouped 3+2 or 2+3.
When should I tap?
Do not react after hearing the note. Count along during the example, then anticipate each target beat in the silent bar. Bluetooth audio and some touchscreens introduce delay. Leave adjustment at 0 ms unless you consistently measure a device offset. Adjustments are manual, not automatic calibration.
Results remain in this browser. Timing uses local browser timestamps and a ±180 ms matching window. Absolute accuracy depends on hardware, audio routing, input device and the chosen manual offset. No microphone is used.
