Virtual bass
Choose a tuning, play individual bass notes or hear a short four-beat pattern.
FOUR STRINGS · REAL BASS OCTAVE
Pick notes. Build a bass line.
Pluck individual strings or hear a four-beat root–fifth / octave pattern. Each tuning plays in its normal bass register.
Select a fret to hear the note. On a phone, scroll the neck sideways; × mutes that string. A bass is normally finger-plucked, so this instrument uses individual notes rather than guitar-style strumming.
Choose a string or play a four-beat bass pattern. Sound starts after your click.
E1 · A1 · D2 · G2
Browser-synthesized plucked bass, not a recorded instrument. Small speakers may not reproduce E1/C1 fundamentals; headphones are recommended. The groove is a listening reference, not an automatic performance score.
BASS PRACTICE
Start with roots and fifths.
Use the four-beat pattern to hear a root, perfect fifth and octave in the bass register. Follow the pattern at a tempo you can play comfortably.
For accurate low-frequency perception, headphones or speakers capable of low bass are recommended.
